Just on cue, Arcadia's been blanketed with a fresh, crisp blanket of snow! I'm excited; winter's my favorite season.

I invited Mitzi over so we could both warm up, though.

Scout even peeped her head outside from her slumber to see what the fuss was all about.

No Snow?

Lobo finally moved out without much warning. He's been in Arcadia for almost a year now, it feels like there's a noticeable gap without him.

His goodbye was a bit heartfelt. But not as much as it probably was for Mac. Is this the end of their one-sided bromance? He hasn't been taking the news too well.

I went to Mitzi, seeing as she's the most sensible one in town, for some advice.

Mitzi seemed pretty confident in the prospect of a long-distance relationship, but I'm pretty doubtful.

Right in Lobo's spot, (why can't any new neighbors take some different spots?) Moose moved in, which makes him Arcadia's second mouse. I'm not too pleased, but it's not as bad as the Duckocalypse.

Your face says otherwise.

I can't be the only one who's tired of the dead, brown grass around town. It's December already; I'm ready for some snow to blanket the town!

I was so impatient and irritated that I decided to punish Gloria, and let the neighbors watch this time.

Don't pity her, Twiggy, she deserved it.

Pre-Hibernation

I love the rain during the fall.

But it looks like the rain isn't going to last much longer.

Stitches is even considering hibernation.

In other news, my neighbors are depressingly lonely.

And everyone still hates Gloria. What is it going to take to make her move out? Maybe we can roast her for Thanksgiving instead of Franklin.

I'm still sad about Ruby's departure, but Twiggy moved in to take her place. She fills the peppy void in my heart that was Ruby.

But I hope Mitzi never moves. She's adorable and we're bros so she's staying.

Fall Hiatus

It's another crisp, brown fall in Arcadia. Nothing's changed.

Except...

Wait a second.

Hold on, wait.

Ruby's moving? NO. That's what I get for taking a three-week hiatus.

And Gloria's still here, keeping to herself. I haven't talked to her in weeks, so I'm not surprised she doesn't recognize me, much less anyone else since she's always in her house. At least she's not being a burden onto everyone else. But I can't hit her with my net if she never comes outside.

Take a guess what (b)romance is still going strong.

I finally saw Lobo and Mac talking to one-another. I guess the love is unrequited, since Lobo's being pretty gruff toward Mac. But poor Mac, he's a fighter.

Gaston moved out a while ago, and Arcadia has a new neighbor in his place. Literally, in his place. Nobody ever moves to interesting plots of land anymore.

I also went to Minicity.

Ruby's picked up some poor eating habits, and I've begun to be concerned about her health. I mean, she already has her skin condition to worry about. I'm just stepping in as a concerned friend.

A concerned friend whose friend is in denial.

Mac still has feelings for Lobo, and now he's going strong. He's bumped his attempts to win Lobo's affection up a notch, this time with a bouquet.

I found Kaitlin's counterpart crying helplessly in my town. Really, if you're going to be traveling with your small child, you can't just unknowingly leave them in an entirely different village. Who does that?

At least she's good for watering my flowers.

My attempt to ger her out of town was a bit morbid, but it was worth a shot.

This was obligatory.

In place of Clyde, Pango moved in. Right where Clyde used to be. Honestly, when are these neighbors going to move into some more interesting locations around town?

Finally, though, a neighbor I like from the get-go. The only thing I've noticed is she tends to be a bit emotional.

But she mutually hates Gloria as much as I do, so she's a keeper in my book.

Scout had to make a delivery for Mac. Guess who it went to?

If you guessed Lobo, you're right.

Mitzi's so cute.

I went to deliver some golden roses to a very tan Quazzi, otherwise known has "the hero" through most of her escapades in Dublin. We accidentally matched!

We tried listening to K.K., but there were some mishaps with timing.

And I finished off the visit with some coffee.

Queen of the Sea

I forgot to mention before that Mathilda moved in the exact place where Groucho was.

She's nice to me. I like her.

Ruby's pulled some pretty crazy shenanigans lately. Currently she's aspiring to live amongst the fish. I don't want to stand in the way of her dreams, so I present Ruby: queen of the sea creatures.

Gaston's been continuously asking me to do his chores he's too lazy to do himself.

All his packages have been going to the girls of Arcadia. Maybe he's running some secret underground business to woo them?

That's what I thought.

On the topic of grouchy neighbors, sometimes it's sort of easy to forget Lobo lives in town due to how much he excludes himself from most events. And the fact that his house is so far away from everyone else. I guess that's only until recently, because it seems as if Mac's developed some sort of incredibly apparent mancrush on Lobo.

I think the neighbors are beginning to realize how truly ignorant Clyde is.

Shhh. He's right there.

I think Clyde was (silently) offended enough by this to hightail it out of town (Get it? Hightail. He's a horse.)

I'll try not to.

Groucho left town to go be a unicorn or something. I don't know.

My luck with bugs is… I don't know if I should classify it as good or bad.
The summer is great for beetles. Just so many huge beetles. Beetle goldmine.

And then this happens.

Oh my-

Holy mother of-

You're kidding, right?

A tarantula and two scorpions in less than five minutes of each other. That's all in the same hour. I vow to never leave my house again as long as I live, or else this sound will haunt me forever.

But being a dutiful neighbor, I went to visit Mac, who's been recovering from being sick (again). And he has this.

Are you kidding me.

He's taunting me. I know it.

After two years, two years of playing this game, I finally stopped slacking, took money out of my savings and paid off my last mortgage. I've had more than enough for a while now. Actually, I've had 500,000 more than enough. Oops.

Blanca's been in my town four times this past month. Stop losing your face, seriously.

Speaking of serious, though...

Danielle and I have been unknowingly exchanging Blanca.

Three Towns

I've been visiting a lot of towns this past month, specifically all in one night!

My first stop was in Fuzville, Haruko's town. We found Wisp's lamp in her town for the first time.

I went to Matthew's town of Venice, which was fifteen hours ahead of me. It was daytime there while it was midnight where I was, which was kind of flustering. Obviously our locations in real life weren't all that close.

I mean that literally. Give me some space.

My last stop of the evening was GazettE.

As much as I like visiting, this particular experience was all actually really frustrating, because three of us were trying to meet up in one town, but there were some substantial connectivity issues, so we all visited one-another individually. Oh well.

Groucho's Self Discovery

Groucho, Arcadia's only first and ladylike neighbor left, has decided to pack up and move on with his feminine, feminine life. I have no intention to standing in the way of his dreams. He assured me he's not leaving just yet, but soon enough.

What kind of dream is he looking to pursue? I have no idea. He enjoys leaving himself unexplained.

Clyde continues to spoon-feed me information I really have no interest in hearing.

Was it the fleas that tipped you off?

In the news of harassing the ever-loving piss out of Gloria: all is well. Except for Gloria, obviously. I show no pity.
The thought donned on me that maybe Gloria needs some good old fashioned TLC and affection, that having lived a short span of time in town lingering in utter solitude has just given her the image of a bitter, lonely duck, and I should attempt to soothe her weary soul.
The thought which proceeded was me deciding that I'd much rather whack her with a net for my own satisfaction.
Lobo's taken the side of the rest of town and started showing Gloria some well-deserved hate.

But she caught on right away.

I tried spying on her, but she's onto us.

Get Gloria Out pt. 2

Later in the evening, I went to visit Owl City.
Before Zack and I left Arcadia, we tried pulling pranks on Gloria.

They backfired.

It was nice and rainy in Owl City in comparison to Arcadia. But I'm glad it's sunny back home, to be honest.

Obviously, Bettina's thrilled.

Most of the residents talked about food. Maybe there's some kind of budget cut over there, so everyone requires food stamps. Those poor, hungry, lazy citizens of Owl City.

Danielle, myself, Cate and Zack all fished in hopes of finding a Coelacanth.

We found lots of Sea Bass instead.

Get Gloria Out

Arcadia finally has its new bridge in place. It's literally right next to another bridge. Is it in a completely useless and inconvenient spot? Yes. Is it good for snapshots? Also yes.

It's also sunny for the first time in days.

I saw Gracie in the city for the second time.

I can't post on here without mentioning Ruby.

Mitzi was considering moving. Thank goodness I convinced her out of it before she could have moved without saying anything, she was one of our earliest neighbors to move in. It's not nearly her time to leave Arcadia, though having a new swap of neighbors would ne nice.

Speaking of moving neighbors, I've firmly decided that Gloria has to go. She's a nuisance to the neighbors. And me. I can safely say that the neighbors are in agreement with my feelings towards Gloria.

So I've taken the initiative in getting Gloria out of Arcadia:

I think it's time for a Mitzi appreciation post.

A short one, at that.

Can she get any more adorable? No. The answer is no.

Arcadia finally has enough money to build a new bridge. Actually, let me clarify. I've had more than enough for a while, I mean, hell, I've had enough for the lighthouse/windmill, but I'm just too lazy to donate it. Also, I don't want to accomplish everything at once, (hence why filling up the museum is taking me a long time) so I kind of drag these things out in long spans of time so I don't get bored of playing without a goal later on.
So I looked at my choices.

These are terrible choices.
Why would I want to build a bridge… right next to another bridge?
After I left town hall, I saw a tarantula for the first time. And then I was too slow.

Gloria's sick. I don't care.

I think you're having an identity crisis. You're a duck, not a dog.

Scout, being the night owl she is, crawled out of her cave and stepped outside for once.

She played a round of hide-and-seek with the neighbors, who picked spots right next to one-another.

Clyde, you suck at this.

Firefly Hunt

Summer means fireflies. Well, in Arcadia, it means our very first ever thunderstorm. But in Zack's town, Owl City, summer means fireflies. Later this evening, I ventured over Owl City along with James and Patrick for a firefly hunt.

I didn't forget to talk to any town natives, though.

I think a little too friendly.

Also, Lobo's adopted a new term for me.

Becky moved. She didn't even find it important enough to tell me, she just up and left on her merry way. Gaston moved in place of Arcadia's poultry friend.

Oh, I like this guy.

Our first downpour of the summer hit earlier today. I walked with some of my favorite neighbors... and Clyde.

I'm glad to see she acknowledges her problem.

And then I saw something odd. Blanca was walking around. Without an umbrella. Maybe the rain washed her face off? She should really consider investing in permanent ink. Or a better umbrella.

She's... beautiful.

I checked the mailbox to see my mother had not only mailed me, but sent me a gift for Mother's Day. I find it kind of backward that my mother is giving me a gift on a holiday dedicated to her. But I'm not complaining or anything. I now have a lovely beginning of a carnation garden.

I went to Hayley's town of Minicity for a short visit. It was nice and rainy compared to the dry-spell that is Arcadia.

Kiki, the love of my life, was there. Mocking me with the fact that she isn't in my town.

Just come back already, you sap.

Boone got a little frisky with me.

Cookie's a bit two-faced.

All in all, her neighbors are just kind of inappropriate. Except Poppy.

Poppy is nice. I like Poppy.

Visit to Owl City

Two posts in one week? Absurd.

For the first time in a while, I went to someone else's town: Zack's town of Owl City. I put on a nice spring outfit and bolted.

Zack's friends Myrta and James were there as well, and we watched K.K. perform. James was late to the party.

Zack was so anxious for a cup of hot coffee that he walked through the chair.

Wait your turn. Brewster is a busy man.

Zack and James came to Arcadia for a visit. Gloria was assaulted with nets and Ruby, the superstar she is, was trampled by her fans.

I think all the attention got to Ruby's head the next day. She and Maple haven't gotten off on the right foot. Apparently Maple said Ruby looked older than a fossil.

I'm pretty sure I stray away from this game for long periods of time because coming back makes the game twice as enjoyable. (That, and I just don't have the attention span to play the game nonstop.)

Our hero, who now has a lighter, spring-esque haircut, stepped out of her hiatus to a sunny cloudless day.

Of course, because it's sunny, this means Ruby is... inside.

I missed Bunny Day. Hopefully Ruby isn't too mad that I missed the holiday celebrating her origins. Or making fun of them? Maybe Bunny Day initiates the stereotype that all rabbits run around shitting and burying eggs.

I also visited Stitches, who's had a designer faux paus.

The duckocalypse is underway of crumbling. And right where Pompom resided now lives our newest neighbor, Maple, who's just a sweetie. Scout went to go investigate.

Today marks an important day in Arcadia history. The end of the Duckocalypse.

Yes, until today, we've had too many ducks to handle. And today marks the beginning of the end. All that needs to be done is rid the town of Gloria, and all will be well.

Maybe I wasn't clear why I didn't like Pompom. This letter justifies my reasons. I'm not your friend if you take a picture without me knowing. That's creepy, Pompom.

I forgot to mention, before Pompom moved out, Mac moved in, taking the place of Kid Cat. I like him. But he'll never replace the void in my heart that was Kid Cat.

Mac seems to be friendly with the townies... Especially Groucho.
Have I mentioned how feminine Groucho's become lately?

Festivale!

This was the first time I ever actually played during Festevale. I was actually really confused on how it all worked. Pavé would say he (she?) needed one color, and my neighbors gave me all the wrong colors. And then I realized that after I would give Pavé that color, now he/she needed the next color.

My explanation sounds confusing because this was difficult for me.

Anyway! Onto my post!

So is Pavé a guy or a chick? (Get it, because Pavé's a bird. Hah.)

Seeing all the confetti in the air was a treat. So was finally seeing grass! It's been forever since some season besides winter's been in Arcadia, let alone the grass being green.

I played games with neighbors.

Gamecube

This isn't a City Folk post. I recently got myself a copy of the Gamecube version for kicks, and I've been playing it nonstop. Here's some loving.

My neighbors are pretty rad. Bea, Eunice and Olivia are definitely tight; I see the mutual love triangle forming here, exchanging catchphrases and designs. They make it obvious.
Maycomb's got Woolio, Candi, Carmen... they're all good. Except for the love of god, Amelia. The neighbor I hate the most (or so I thought) decides to just waltz in unannounced. No, get out. You and your horrendous grammar are not welcome in Maycomb.

How is something screamingly satisfying and what would I even aid you in? Screaming?

So I avoid Amelia at all costs, seeing as she's kept herself in solitude by isolating herself in the utmost corner of town, and things were going smoothly.
Enter Truffles.

God, I hate Truffles more than I have ever hated anything in my life. I just cannot verbalize my hatred for this uncultured swine. She had to leave. I had to make her move out. I've taken every measure to make sure this gets carried out.

I think it's working.

Visit and Flea Market

So a little while ago, a friend of mine got his hands on City Folk. So he came over to visit my town.

He's magic. But speaking of stars and magical feelings and such, Apparently Arcadia was supposed to be having it's Northern Lights last weekend. So I went on at 9 pm, and nothing was there.

Look, nothing. (It's a pretty picture, though.) Lobo was pretty confident on the idea that there was a show that night.

I couldn't figure out why my game was glitching like that, but maybe Lobo's just full of a lot of bad rational. Scout was fixing up her house, moving things around, and he decides to drop in right at the worst time.

He stayed in the doorway for a while like that. I was kind of concerned of how he'd leave.

Ruby's Old

Becky's sick. I don't really plan on helping her. I don't even really like her. Maybe if she becomes too feeble, I can use her for some chicken broth.

Mitzi's as optimistic and adorable as always. I just love Mitzi. She holds the sanity of this town together.

Speaking of adorable, Ruby already knows how cute she is.

And then Scout climbed out of her cave to go actually talk to the neighbors, who claimed they hadn't seen her in two months.

I used my self-defense tactics on Nook. I don't like the greedy look in those raccoon eyes of his.

Gloria Uses the Internet

Just taking advantage of the winter time, making some snowmen with Kid Cat. He likes the snow, too.

Oh, and we have a new neighbor. As if Pompom isn't bad enough, we have Gloria. God, she's ugly. Like worse than Gigi. And not just in appearance; she thinks she's super insightful.

Pretty legit. She uses TMZ for her news.

Hah. I actually laughed.

I decided that she has to go. I'm beginning to try every tactic in the book to convince her that Arcadia doesn't want her here.

Oh, and especially if Kid Cat's going around with this.

Jingle Time

(I was out of town on vacation when Jingle came, so I actually had to time-travel to find him.)

All the neighbors have been discussing and preparing for today, a day of festivities and gifts and holiday cheer. Well, not quite everyone was full of holiday cheer. Ruby and Stitches are apparently fighting.

My two favorite neighbors fighting? But I can't side with either of them.

Anyway, so of course Kid Cat of all neighbors was talking about how many presents he'd get and how big his pile would be.

And that's when I found the reindeer of the hour, Jingle.

I was greedy and I wanted presents right then and there. So I decided to do what any good-natured person would do and keep changing my appearance. Like he'd know.

And then I found where he gets his presents from.

I see a Pyramid scheme forming here.

Dizzy's Move

Everything in Arcadia's been good and normal as ever.

No, wait, scratch that. Dizzy, the my very first and next-door neighbor, is moving out. It looks like Groucho is our only original neighbor left.

Damnit, Dizzy. You know just where to push my buttons.

Mitzi and Clyde knew how to fill the void in my heart.

I think Ruby took the move a little harsh. This seems to be her coping mechanism.

She needs some time to heal.

And then my three favorite neighbors played hide and seek.

First Winter Blizzard

Mitzi's got the right idea.

Just on time, a snow front came and blanketed the grounds of Arcadia. Instead of tufts of frozen grass, now there's a sheet of white. How nice.

Exactly on the hour, a very light snow fell from the sky.

I tried catching some of the snowflakes.

The slight amount of falling snow didn't compare to the city, which had snow falling like crazy. I went to go see who was actually still interested in Dr. Shrunk's performances, and lo and behold, Arcadia's beloved Kiki was there.

Early Snowfall

I came outside to find a surprise.

Snow! In fact, the first snowfall of the season.

The snow made all the neighbors happy.

Well, I mean, except Ruby. She always finds something to panic about.

Harvest Festival

Today was the much-awaited day where all the neighbors gather around like carnivores (I guess except for Ruby) and devour the much-awaited guest set upon them and cooked to perfection.

Except their main course was missing.

I wondered who our new main course could be. Maybe our newest resident, Becky, the chicken?

Nah, she's too nice to be eaten.

But then I had a revelation. We could eat Pompom. I mean, no one would notice her absence, right?

Can you say "Duck Pâté"?

But then I found our little missing guest.

I felt too sorry to eat him, so instead, I helped him find all the scattered silverware in exchange for some furniture. Besides, I was already planning on feasting on Pompom anyway.

I think it's a little too late for that.

Fish on Land

Today was the Fishing Tourney. No big deal, right? You had to catch the biggest horse mackerel.

So I turned off the game for a moment and set my clock back an hour for daylight savings (I was behind) and this happens.

You can tell I have fun with the catchphrases.

Wait, what?

So getting in the lead is kind of easy when you have neighbors that aren't really adept at fishing.

Well then Ruby's a liar.

No one had the heart to tell Clyde that there was no water anywhere near where he was standing.

Anyway, Opal moved out. I guess that's the end of any possible elephant love drama.

Halloween

The neighbors have been talking a lot about Halloween and their costumes, which is weird, because... they're the same thing. Is it some kind of weird cult-like tradition?

Finding Jack wasn't so hard. Neither was finding Ruby, who decided to stay indoors.

Gramma's Day at the Table Tennis Finals

I visited a hacked town earlier this week.

I got to stand on top of the Able Sisters! Or... sink.

The Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing came back to haunt me at the town Nook's.

The gyroids. They were everywhere.

I now have a basement! Now all I have to do is pay 500,000+ bells for a dinky little flag.

In the exact same spot that Kiki and Gigi once lived, we have... Clyde.

Not another lazy neighbor. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but we've had so many already. Oh well. It's okay, Clyde. I won't judge you too much.

His name reminds me of some kind of slow-moving horse.

It's very evident that it's fall here. I decided that with Halloween approaching, I should get in the spirit. And the theatre lights made me look pretty eerie.

Speaking of spooky... Look who's room was being shown at the HRA?

I love how he gets happy when your room is on display.

Gamecube Style

Little bit of a different post today.

Hayley brought over Animal Crossing for the GC, and lucky for me I have a memory card. So from here on you can pretty much guess what happened.

Excitement ensued since I don't actually own the game.

Let me just sum it up for you.

Nook told me to write to his patrons. I took it as a secondary outlet of exposing my feelings.

I slipped another Ruby joke in there for shits and giggles.

So apparently one of the tasks Nook asks you to do is do favors... for other neighbors? And not for his own benefit. Unlike him. Or maybe earlier on he was a nicer guy in his youth.

So Curly had some long-standing grudge with Nate.

That face can't get much more tense.

Listened to a little K.K. outside, for lack of The Roost.

Surprised to see the seasonal changes during song. Nice touch.

And I guess I can't end this without saying what my town is, right?

Meteor Shower!

Pete was waiting outside, with what I assumed was another Nintendo DLC letter. Nope.

Since when does Kapp'n personally send out letters? It was a nice change from the candy that I could get on Halloween last month. That just sucked.

Surprisingly, Kapp'n managed not to sound too creepy.

It's also officially fall here. Besides the subtle grass change, Stitches made a note of it.

And then ended the comment with talk of food. Oh, Stitches.

Dizzy's sick. Again. This is probably the fourth time this year. Seriously. Seems like there's a little elephant-to-elephant connection here.

I'm surprised how Kid Cat has all the dirt on neighbors recently. He's shifting his title from body-builder to 'gossip girl'. So first, he had details on Pompom, but now this.

I'm not all that surprised.

But speaking of surprises, we had our first Meteor Shower! I heard some noise, but I thought it was just some chirping fall bugs at first, until I saw streaks shoot across the sky.

So let's see what's been happening in dear old Arcadia this week.

The city is full of glitz and glamor and, unusually enough, nostalgia. I spotted two of our previous townies loitering around.

I think you mean 'heading back to Arcadia'.

Labor Day was this week. Tortimer gave me a picnic basket as thanks for "whatever it is I do". I'm not sure how it is that a basket full of goodies symbolizes labor, but I digress.

The poor turtle stood in the rain to distribute the gifts.

The townies' love for food gets weirder every day. I like it.

Except I was never aware we even had a sports team, named after a dessert, no less.

Mac made a dig at Minicity.

And I woke Scout, another inhabitant of town. I guess Pete was a little fed up with waiting for her, he was just about ready to go in there himself.

And Scout got a little bit of coffee to wake her up from her two-month hibernation.

Again, I apologize for such a long delay in posts. At first, nothing interesting had happened to blog about, and then I just didn't play for a while. Starting school up was pretty hectic, so I didn't have a lot of time to fit in for playing the game. (Don't worry, it was only a two week period, and I didn't miss any important events). So I've decided from now on that I'm only going to be able to blog when it's convenient. Every few days is going to be too frantic for me.

I now rule Arcadia with an iron fist. Er, well, can you classify what my hands are as fists?

Egbert hauled out of Arcadia earlier. When? I can't recall. No one seems to notice his absence. In his place, Opal moved in. Close to Nook's, conveniently. She's pretty uppity, but the cute things that come out of her mouth cancel out her personality disorder. I'm deciding whether I'm indifferent to her or not.

Officially the most adorable thing I've ever heard.

The neighbors are still their old selves. Kid Cat is extreme to the max.

Ruby's still in denial about her skin condition.

Just after exploring my town to see the display and the neighbors' excitement, I went to Shaolin to visit Squirt's town and explore!

Hayley was there, too.

So we have a new neighbor. She's... well, just look at her. Gigi.

Kind of heartless. But she tries.

I can't say I've seen a frog with hair. Now I'm glad I got Ruby. She actually scares me. What Gigi lacks in... her face, she makes up for in personality.
Speaking of Ruby, she made a full recovery. And she was strolling around outside as per usual again. Without avoiding the rays of the sun this time. Way to turn over a new leaf, Ruby.

I guess with all these visitors coming and going, there were some mishaps. Who did I find frantically pacing around on the beach? Katlin, looking for her lost kitten, who just happens to be in the town of my friend who rarely ever plays.

Is it possible? Like you don't know and you're so chill about it? I've got to say, Kaitlin, you're a pretty irresponsible mother. How do you keep losing a kitten, who's a brightly colored yellow and easy to spot, no less? You need to keep better track of your kid.

Egbert's pretty bent on moving. Not like I care that much. He only talked to me or neighbors sparsely. Not much of an impact there. And with an emotionless decision, he stated:

Kid Cat's birthday was on the first. Apparently everyone was informed except for him. Ruby asked me to deliver a gift to him, and he was apparently surprised at her gesture.

Well, it's official. Kiki has left for good. At least this marks the downfall of the cat-apocalypse. No one's taken her place yet. Groucho's been disappointed that he has no one to lurk upon anymore. Twisted old bear.

I finally got a second floor. What to do with it is another question. I've just moved all my Spooky furniture up there and I'm still undeceive on what to do with my extra space as of now.

The neighbors know what's just around the corner. Fireworks! I don't think I've ever seen the display in town yet.

Ruby's been cooped up in her house, which is odd for her, despite the fact that she tactilely avoids the blistering sun. Turns out she's sick. Being a drama queen because of her pre-existing skin condition, she made it sound worse than the common cold. I still pulled through for her, since she thinks we're best friends.

Wednesday was a night for a lot of visitors! We had Dubu from SM Town and Alexis from Raenir visit! Then we visited Hayley in Minicity, and our friend Gracey (Annabel) tagged along. It was really hectic, since all our path pieces kept getting destroyed, but we had fun having net-fights and such.

Withered Flowers

I'm back from being out of town! I came back to town only to see... that all my flowers had died. Well isn't that nice.

Well, back to planting again. And even more sad news, I thought good ol' Kiki would stay in town for sure, but I peered in for a visit, and I saw boxes scattered around her room. I didn't even have a choice to persuade her to stay in Arcadia just a little bit longer, like last time. And she was one of my very first townies! It'll be so sad to see her depart. At least she gave me a sweet, friendly goodbye. We'll miss you, Kiki.

Arcadia just won't be the same without her.

I also caught a bee while shaking trees on my first try!

The Night Wisp Came to Town

Something peculiar was lying around Dizzy's house a few days ago. And no, it wasn't food. It was a lamp. A magic lamp! And that can only mean one thing...

So I trotted along the beach that night, and I heard a voice call to me. I crept closer to find the timid ghost I had only heard of through word, Wisp! The poor guy was pale with fear. I'm going to safely guess he's never looked in a mirror.

But regardless, he asked me to find his empty lamp to he could safely return home. We met in my attic, I handed over the lamp, he handed over an accessory, and off he disappeared in thin air.

Speaking of pale, I found Ruby taking an afternoon stroll. With an umbrella. In broad daylight.

She just gets more and more peculiar every day, I swear. Maybe she gets a really bad... fur burn?

I saw an old neighbor in the city. I think I was more creeped out than he was.

And lastly, Hayley came to town and we had a net-fight.

That sketchy weather report on the bulletin board said the rainy season was "just wrapping up". Somehow, I don't believe that, seeing as this whole week has been nothing but rain. Rain, rain, rain, all day. It gave the town such a dreary feel. So what do you do when your town's feeling blue? Go visit another town.

I took a visit over to Hayley's town, Minicity. Al gave me a delightful greeting in his too-tight t-shirt.

With that shirt, a visit to GracieGrace isn't a bad idea.

All her neighbors were so kind and cordial. Except one caught me off surprise. Amelia! I just knew you went off to withdraw yourself from Arcadia and slink somewhere else. And I caught you! But she pretended not to remember me. Oh, you're sneaky, Amelia. Sneaky.

Only happy because you're getting publicity.

Speaking of visitors, Pompom was feeling a bit nostalgic and decided to show me the remnants of her old village. She got especially excited about a letter that she described so vividly to be witty and intelligent.

Onto some neighbor hearsay. Apparently Lobo's plan to spread some nasty gossip about Kid Cat is working. An interesting little tidbit's been passing around town, and like some kind of game of neighbor-telephone, it seems as if it's gotten back to Kid Cat himself.

Well it's not exactly what I call slanderous.

So as I said about our new neighbor, Ruby, she's a bit of a quirky busybody. A little antsy, too. With all of this said, I can also see she moves pretty fast with her relationships. Not a week after we've met and now she considers us the closest of pals.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Ruby.

We had another visitor in our town this week, and it was none other then the renown artist himself, Wendell. How convenient of him to hide his famished self amongst my fruit tree orchard like I wouldn't see him or something. Large walruses tend to stand out, but it was a good try.

In other news, Dizzy's only becoming lazier and lazier. We're drifting apart. In some delusional frenzy, he's beginning to consider his upholstery his new best friend.

One Year in Arcadia

I got a message in the mail from ol' supreme dictator Tortimer himself this evening.

The model wasn't so great, but then I realized, it's been one year since I moved into Arcadia! And all that I have (and haven't yet) accomplished! What a year.

I'm surprised I got the message on time. Lately, Pete's been a little... "bird-brained", as Pompom called it. Why Pompom would use an insult that could be directed back at her own species, I don't know. But I can hear him murmuring little tidbits about his love life before he realizes how behind he is and scurries back to the postal system.

Surprisingly enough, he mentioned that it's not Pelly he's currently falling head-over-heels for.

It's Phyllis.

I see he likes to play hard-to-get.

Yes, that's Kid Cat's hiding spot down there.

Pompom was also pretty mad about all the mail problems. She was wondering why everything she sent was getting lost in the mail.

She said that "the most adorable-ist girl in town" could work as her address.

I... can't say I agree. But I'm not one to judge. Oh well.

Sable started talking to me! She's actually quite humble and friendly now, instead of closed-off and cold like she used to be. She even offered me a cup of tea sometime. How sweet. She and Mable got into a little bit of a tussle that I have yet to understand.

So the plot thickens.

I've had a lot of pent-up excitement about a new resident these past few days. It took longer than I thought it would for someone to take Bud's place (it seemed like he'd never move out), but once I noticed a new house, I opened the door and let myself right in.

What I saw slightly disturbed me.

This rabbit is oddly... albino.

Nice first impression, I suppose.

Ruby, she told me, is her name. She seems to be very jittery and easily upset, but I think we can make amends.

Awesomeness on Tour

The Flea Market was this weekend! My house is still under some major renovation, so I thought it'd be a good time to sell everything I'd been storing away, making my house an oversized garbage dump and use the rest as a blockade for the furniture I actually wanted. It was a bad day to be inside, though. The weather was beautifully sunny, without a cloud in the sky (The new Carnations Dad sent really helped brighten up the place). I made my chance to venture to some villager houses to filch some items.

My first customer was Kiki, whom I literally couldn't get to buy anything. She came at the completely wrong time, right when I had started doing a house overhaul for customers. She spent her visit moseying around. Maybe it was the fact that she's been so tight on cash.

Such an indecisive cat.

So I had mentioned in my last post that Bud had moved in recently (By recently, I mean no more than a week ago). Guess who's decided to make a sudden departure? That's right. Bud. I can't say anything positive of him, because I can't say I can really befriend anyone in a week, let alone Bud, who's was always either roaming somewhere where I couldn't find him or asleep. He's pretty definite on his decision, so I guess it's adios to Bud. At least I managed in a goodbye before he disappeared into oblivion. Bye, Bud. Can't say I'll really miss you.

I was listening to some neighbor chatter, and Kid Cat was telling Lobo to "change his vibe". What, do you not like Lobo the way he his? Actually, I've kind of come to find Lobo to be very intellectual and well-mannered, not an old grump like everyone else makes him out to be. Kid Cat just likes to chastise, a typical pattern for him. He's the gossipy type. Lobo didn't take opinions to heart, while Kid Cat proceeded to tell me his scrutinizing judgement about Stitches' eating habits as if the conversation was already old news.

Hayley came over to visit recently, too. We listened to some K.K. and became his groupies. I always forget to go listen to K.K., anyway. He even played us an encore!

I bought a red pom-pom hat and drew a design to match for my new attire. Since Arcadia's just begun its summer, Kiki found my outfit to be somewhat of an atrocity for the season. Says the cat who always asks my opinion for her city garb!

I was talking to Egbert, who was caught in the act peering through some of the shop windows. Seeming like a familiar story, I had to ask what he was doing.

Poor guy's wallet was bone-dry. I'm starting to theorize that there's a definite financial crisis going on.

Besides my fashion faux pas, the summer evenings here in Arcadia are very serene. Kiki and I set aside our differences as we spotted the first fireflies drifting around outside as they glittered over the ponds. Soon, what seemed like one lonely firefly quickly became three! It was quite a luminous sight.

It's Been a While

Oh wow. Sorry I haven't posted in... months! It just wasn't a priority for me to do this blog, unfortunately, seeing as I had other things to get out of the way. (Lame excuse, I know.) Anyway, so let me catch up on some things from the recent past to present, since updating on everything would just be a bore.

Summer's in full bloom here! I guess that means Summer's the key time for neighbors to move in and out. Amelia moved out, which is a big hallelujah. I don't know what did it, maybe it was me ignoring her. I guess she missed all the attention of the loving public.

Speaking of moving, Stitches was trying to convince me that it was his time. Apparently, some larger driving force was influencing his decision. Maybe his parents? He is a Mama's Boy, after all.

Have no fear, though! Whatever was forcing him to move his belongings out of Arcadia had a change of heart, and Stitches decided to stay. Yay, Stitches!

We also have a new neighbor who came to Arcadia back in April, Pompom. I'm not sure if I like her so much. She's a pretty big airhead, and has some kind of identity crisis, going around saying "meow". Bud also moved in and took a house close to Amelia's vacant patch of dirt. He hasn't grown on me yet.

I never seem to make the effort to add onto the Museum's collection. The idea of having a display is nice and all, but I feel like "contributing" the items to my funds is a much more satisfying idea. Besides, do you ever hear anyone talking about going to the Museum? It seems like a pretty deadbeat place.

Regardless, Arcadia's Museum has its very first painting!

I missed a few important events over the past couple weeks, such as... oh, you know, my birthday. Come to think of it, this is my first birthday in Arcadia, and I missed it! But it's okay, it seems the neighbors were informed.

I also missed Father's Day. I'm assuming no one else in town celebrates because I never hear of anyone's parents... except Stitches. He talks about them every chance he gets. Such a Mama's Boy.

I didn't know Dad sent letters, too.

Happy New Year from Arcadia!

Excuse the absence (again). A lot of things have come up for school. But if you want a good excuse... I was letting the grass grow back. Sure, we'll stick with that.

Look at that bedhead. Yuck.

Everyone's been pretty pumped about the new decade. Especially Tortimer, as always, who wasn't actually snoozing in his office and gave out sparklers and whatnot to all the excited patrons. Even Stitches was planning out his résumé for the year to come.

All that newly-fallen snow lead to lots of scattered snowballs, which of course means snowmen. After many attempts and snowballs falling off of cliffs... I built the season's first perfect snowman!

Apparently some time ago, Blaire finally decided to get her hermit self out of town and picked up somewhere else. Finally! It was definitely time for some change. In her exact place, Lobo moved in.

Surplus of Cats

After multiple upgrades, Arcadia has finally achieved Nookington's! (With no help from the two months I disappeared, either...) It seems as if Nook's satisfied with this renovation.

I smell insincerity.

I don't think all this excitement hasn't gotten to the townies yet. I feel as if some are being impacted by the cost of the expansion into some kind of economic crisis. I just found Kiki window shopping a few days ago.

Poor girl didn't have a cent on her.

I tried confronting her, too, but to no avail.

Maybe Kiki should work part-time for Nook.

Speaking of cats, I think Arcadia's experiencing some sort of cat-surplus. First Kiki, then Mitzi, now Kid Cat? How many cats can one town handle? Three is more than enough.

And now Kid Cat has the hots for Mitzi.

All these cats are impacting our neighbors. Blaire's considering taking a move for somewhere better, or with less cats. I don't blame her, and she can move if she wants. As long as another feline doesn't decide to occupy her space.

Welcome, Mr. Fall

Well, it's been a while, and I'm sorry. But posts are back for good!

Good ol' Fall has finally hit Arcadia. And that means that our summer showers are finally over and we get to see some actual sunshine for the first time in a while.

I love the change in the trees. The lush greenery changes to a vibrant red.

And Fall means... Halloween! I went on a scavenger hunt for Jack, but with little luck, I only found him a handful of times, so I didn't complete the furniture set, but got pretty close.

Pippy decided to follow Jay's footsteps and move without notice. And just when we were becoming friends! Well, her loss, I suppose. On the positive side, my all-time favorite neighbor moved in...

Kid Cat! He's so quirky and unexpected. I know we'll become fast friends.

I've recently gotten into the habit of fishing to get some money to pay off my mortgage, but I never expected to find a Football Fish!

No Sun Sundays

Hey, guys! Sorry it took me so long to post. I've been really busy this past month. But here's an update for these past few weeks!

Jay's finally moved out of town to somewhere more to his liking. It's not really that big a deal, since we were never all that close. None of the neighbors seem to have noticed his absence.

Blaire, our newest neighbor, decided to take the exact spot of Jay. When she had finally unpacked, I looked inside her home. It wasn't really functional.

In fact, it just looked like a bunch of random pieces of furniture.

Oh well, I can't be a hypocrite.

Groucho and I seem to be hitting it off pretty well! At first, it seemed as if we'd never be all that close, but he seems like a dependable and nice neighbor. Actually, he's been following me around town quite a bit.

Kiki unveiled some upsetting news to me this week.

Not Kiki! She's one of our nicest neighbors! It seemed as if she wanted to follow in Jay's footsteps. But not for long, because it didn't take that long for her to come to her decision.

It would have been too hard to live in a town without her. We're not really close, but I wouldn't want someone like Amelia to take her spot. Two Amelias... that's a thought. Speaking of that, I hope Amelia's the next one to move. She's such a priss! Just today she was telling Pippy that she would never find her "Dream guy" in Arcadia, but rather at the 99-cent-store. The nerve of her! Poor Pippy was in such a bad mood after that.

Anyway, in celebration of Kiki not moving, she gave me a matching outfit and we strutted around town as a pair. We look ravishing!

In other news, townies have been saying the craziest things lately.

What sun? It's so dreary here. Blaire must be going nuts! Get it? Haha...

Market Madness

Hi again! I'm sorry about not being able to frequently update this month. I was at camp, and I'm going back in a week, so I'm not able and won't be able to post every day.

On with the journal!

I got my Nintendo DLC item, but I'm a bit upset with it. I'm aware it's part of Pikmin, but I don't even play the game. It just sits there and doesn't match with anything. (Though my house is a mess to begin with)

I actually did not have a large roll in the Bug-Off because I was away for the week. Good news for my sister, however, who won a shiny trophy!

It's come to my attention that Jay's decided to move out of Arcadia, and sprung the news on me today. Though I never really had that much of a bond with Jay, (which is why he's not in many, rather any pictures) he'll still be missed.

I just wish that stupid Amelia would move out.

The town was buzzing about the Flea Market today! I've picked up a ton of useless items, which I've put on my house for display for this very occasion, hence why my house is such a pigsty.

I was also able to acquire my very first Mario item, the Fire Flower!

Groucho thought it'd be nice to take a few items off my hands.

Waaaaaait a second, he gave me back the same cactus that he bought from me! Damn you, Groucho!

Finally! I was able to catch the Diving Beetle! That thing is difficult to catch.

Phineas Makes an Appearance

This week's been especially busy for me. Because I was involved in a play, I wasn't able to update on Arcadia, though I was sure to check up on my neighbors almost every day as well as begin to design and place paths since the grass is beginning to wear down incredibly quickly. Now that I have a break, let the updates from this week commence!

I went to the city earlier this week, and Phineas had showed up for the first time! I snagged a red balloon.

I matched!

I also wanted to mention that Arcadia welcomes our newest resident: Mitzi!

All the neighbors have been talking about the first big town event of the summer, the Bug-Off! Apparently Kiki is the most fired-up about it.

Now, for town gossip! On the 14th, it was Dizzy's birthday. Since he's such a good friend and a close neighbor, I walked over to wish him a happy birthday.

I don't think Dizzy got the memo.

Hey, he may be spacey, but he was one of my first neighbors and we're tight.

Lastly, a comment from my absolute favorite neighbor, Amelia.

I paid off my first loan!

I saw something peculiar today. Amelia was actually outside. I had to see what was happening.

Egbert Moves In

Yet another new resident has joined Arcadia!

And yet again, it's still raining. It was raining all day. Quite drab, if you ask me. At least the flowers get a little watering.

Lately, Amelia has been getting on my nerves. She's always inside her house like some kind of loner, and when she's outside, she's insulting everyone or being totally creepy and going goo-goo over the people I've WiFi-ed with.

Anyway, since today was Saturday, guess who dropped by The Roost?

Today was a short day; I didn't have a lot of time to run around and explore. On the flip-side, Gracie was in GracieGrace today, and I got an evaluation from her, though nothing good actually came from it. I've never seen her in the city before.

Oh, and Blanca showed up and asked for a creepy look, which I gladly obliged to fixing up her clean slate-of-a-face.

First days

Wednesday was my first day in Arcadia. After I finished working for Tom Nook, I went to the city to get a shoe-shine from Kicks, and he gave me pretty blue sandals to match my top.

All the other townsfolk were talking about getting their shoes shined, but don't they walk around barefoot? It's a mystery to me.

That next day, Stitches moved in! He's so cute and sweet! I always loved him in Wild World, so I'm so excited to have him as my neighbor.

I've been making a lot of money by catching bugs, and especially one in particular. There seems to be an abundant amount of Miyama Stags and Fruit Beetles around town.

It was a bit rainy in the city the day before, so when I returned, the rain had moved to Arcadia. It was raining the whole time that I was in town. I haven't seen a bit of sunshine these past two days. Here's hoping that the sun comes out soon!
